The untold story begins with a brilliant, action-packed new preview!Reaction to the first trail for The Amazing Spider-Man, released last Summer, was mixed to say the least, as many fans argued over whether the film franchise needed a reboot barely half a decade since its first trilogy (starring Tobey Maguire as the titular Webbed Wonder) concluded. That said, I reckon there'll be a lot more diehard Spidey fanatics won over by the superb new video released this morning, a selection of new footage giving us a much broader look at the reboot's protagonist, antagonist the Lizard and some of the ties to the Parker parents' storylines in the comic books. It's certainly changed my perspective on how the film's looking, and with any luck it should do yours if you were previously cynical about the endeavour. The film's plot follows Peter Parker (this time played by Andrew Garfield) on a quest to discover the truth behind his parents' death, only to stumble upon Dr Curt Connors and Oscorp, and to be forced into a challenge as Spider-Man beyond his wildest dreams.
