May the Force be with you this April!
After developer Terminal Reality announced their delay of Kinect Star Wars from a Christmas 2011 to 'early 2012' release, fans of George Lucas' sci-fi saga didn't hear much about the Xbox 360 exclusive motion title for quite some time. Now, though, publisher LucasArts have unleashed a wave of new details on the upcoming game, not least its release date. The game will feature five different modes of play, which are as follows: Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising (the 'campaign' of sorts, featuring lightsaber duels, speeder bike and spaceship battles and a storyline set between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope), Podracing; Duels of Fate (one-on-one battles with friends); Rancor Rampage and Galactic Dance-Off. No, seriously, that last one is NOT a joke- clearly LucasArts want to riff on the success of the Dance Central Kinect games this time around, setting this dance mode in Jabba's Palace and even letting owners of the new Wars-themed 360 console get a piece of DLC where they dance as C-3PO. Nope, I'm still not kidding! It's hard to tell how this one's going to turn out in terms of gamer and fan reaction, but nevertheless I'm looking forward to providing the definitive verdict on Kinect Star Wars when it hits stores on April 3rd.
