Infiltrate now, get Galaxy At War credits later!
The majority of video gamers- myself included- are gearing up right now for the release of Mass Effect 3 in just one month's time. To increase the excitement levels of fans everywhere even further than we might have thought possible, developer BioWare has announced the release of iOS app Mass Effect: Infiltrator on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices later this month. Here's the official press release on the upcoming application: "Take the all-out galactic war in Mass Effect 3 on the go with Infiltrator, a fully-featured iOS third-person shooter showcasing stunning graphics and authentic weapons and powers from the Mass Effect series. Inspired by the deep and immersive Mass Effect 3 universe, in Infiltrator players will help to free prisoners from a hostile Cerberus base and will receive rewards for collecting evidence on Cerberus' crimes along the way. Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player's Galactic Readiness rating directly through the Galaxy At War system in Mass Effect 3." It all sounds like an intriguing set-up for an exciting app, but we'll have to wait until the game's projected late February release to see just how well it works in collaboration with ME3 (which is out March 9th, in case you forgot!)
