A link to my first published article on TechTroid, and the (very small) changes it will mean for the blog...
Hello all, a little side note here- I'm now going to be working with TechTroid on bringing the wider internet reviews of some of the biggest and best video games around, and with this development must of course mean one or two very minor changes to how things work on the blog. Don't worry, I'll still be bringing you reviews of the best films, TV shows, books, music albums and of course video games around on a daily basis, but there may well be times where if I feel I can't provide a review of a game which differs enough from a review I'm going to post on TechTroid, and if that occurs I'll simply provide a link to the full review from here to the site via a signposted new article. It's unlikely this will happen often, as the reviews on here tend to be short and punchy to grab your attention and give you a quick and precise verdict on whether or not to buy a game, whereas on TechTroid I'll be producing more in-depth and well-rounded pieces on the titles I rate, and essentially you'll be able to see the reviews as great expansions to the site that can show you other aspects of my entertainment writing. Please do not worry, I won't let On-Screen fade away at any point- in fact, I've been meaning to lightly shift the emphasis a little bit away from games for a while now, so as to focus on the news side of things more evenly, and I'll always be keen to provide reviews of older games anyway because my pieces on the other site will be based around brand new games anyway. Even then, I hope to provide you with full verdicts of Mass Effect 3, Kinect Star Wars, Max Payne 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Tomb Raider and all of this year's greatest releases on this blog all the same, so you won't see much notable change (for the lesser) around here. Anyway, now that's cleared up, without further ado I'll hand you over to my link to my first review for TechTroid, rating Rayman Origins- please let me know your thoughts! http://techtroids.com/review-rayman-origins-5100
