Hellboy 3 Production Update Revealed

Can this much-anticipated trilogy finale make it to cinemas? It seems that Legendary Pictures may be the savior for fans...
Guillermo Del Toro and Ron Pearlman have today revealed an update on the status of their rumoured motion picture project Hellboy III. Ever since Hellboy II: The Golden Army's release in cinemas in 2008, fans have been clamoring to see whether the adventures of Dark Horse Comics' Red Beast would get a meaningful conclusion on the big screen, especially given the teasers of an apocalyptic event in the second movie.

Not until now, though, had we heard anything remotely definitive on the matter. We've discovered today that Del Toro and Pearlman have been discussing the possibility of Hellboy III with acclaimed studio Legendary Pictures, the studio behind such iconic films as The Dark Knight and The Hangover. The discussion comes after Universal Pictures seemed to distance themselves from the potential project, perhaps suggesting new life could be in store for the much-anticipated series finale. Right now, most of what we've heard is heresay to an extent, but as soon as any definitive news comes along, you will be the first to know!

For all the latest updates on news and announcements surrounding new Legendary motion pictures and everything else in the film industry, keep it On-Screen in the weeks ahead.
