ABC's Marvel Cinematic Universe drama will take longer than usual to assemble for its UK return.
Marvel Studios have today announced the month in which ABC's comic-book drama Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will return to Channel 4. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the film franchise containing Iron Man, Avengers Assemble and the like), the TV series has been met with a mixed reception in its first season as a result of its restrained budget and its divisive character ensemble.
US fans of Agents were lucky enough to experience the show's mid-season première episode The Magical Place on January 7th, but the same immediate transition doesn't apply for UK viewers this time around. In the past, we would receive new episodes of the series three days after ABC had broadcast them, yet overall the latest delay will consist of around a two-month period. Quite whether viewers will have the patience to wait out the official UK broadcast when upcoming episodes will no doubt be made available in some online regions remains to be seen, but on the bright side, once Agents does head back to Channel 4, there will be no further mid-series breaks to speak of before the season finale!
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will return to Channel 4 in March.
