John Green's award-winning drama comes to the big screen this Summer.20th Century Fox have today released a teaser trailer (below) for their upcoming drama film The Fault In Our Stars. An adaptation of John Green's superb 2012 teen novel, the movie stars The Descendants' Shaliene Woodley as its cancer-suffering protagonist Hazel Grace Lancaster and her Divergent co-star Ansel Elgort as Hazel's support group cohort and future lover Augustus Waters.
If Fault's lead cast members don't ring any bells, then fear not, since Woodley proved her talents spectacularly in Descendants and Marc Webb has already had the confidence to hire her as Mary-Jane Watson in his upcoming motion picture sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 3. While we're on the topic of the Webbed Wonder's blockbuster franchise, though, fans of its Tobey Maguire era can look forward to a cameo appearance from the man who brought us the first Green Goblin, William Defoe, as the disillusioned author Peter Van Houten in the second half of Fox's much-anticipated take on Green's text.
The Fault In Our Stars holds its first group therapy session in cinemas worldwide on June 6th.
