The classic 1980s sitcom is back with a new lease of life this March!
The BBC have today announced the production of a new special episode of their beloved sitcom Only Fools And Horses. Originally broadcast in seven seasons between 1981 and 1991, the series returned with numerous Christmas Specials until 2003, after which followed two spin-off shows, The Green, Green Grass (2005-2009) and Rock & Chips (2010-2011).
Details on the episode's narrative are scarce, save for that it will again feature the show's lead stars David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst in their iconic roles of Derek "Del Boy" Trotter and Rodney Trotter respectively. The special will première as part of BBC One's Sport Relief live event, along with other comedy sketches and mini-episodes which have yet to be announced. Sport Relief 2012 played host to one-off scenes from comedy classics including Outnumbered, QI, Celebrity Juice and Miranda, but Only Fools And Horses' appearance in the 2014 event could suggest that a more nostalgic retrospective on comic greats awaits viewers this year.
The Sport Relief 2014 live show, featuring Del Boy and Rodney's latest exploits, will air on BBC One this March.
