Warner Brothers Pictures have announced the official title of their upcoming sequel to the hit 2013 superhero film Man of Steel. Starring Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight himself, the much-anticipated follow-up will also play host to A-list stars such as Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) to name but a select few.
After months and months and months of ardent speculation, we can now confirm without hesitation that Man of Steel 2 is actually called Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Short of the removal of the previously-assumed 's' from Vs and the addition of the Dawn sub-title (which anyone who knew about the recently-announced Justice League of America film could have instantly predicted), this rather matter-of-fact name fits virtually perfectly in line with what everyone was hoping to see. Regardless of whether World's Finest might have served as a more fitting sub-title, we sincerely doubt that any fan will pass up the opportunity to see DC's finest heroes (whether they're truly the World's Finest is now up to immense debate thanks to Marvel) duke it out on the big-screen as a result of minor linguistic quibbles...
