Warner Brothers Pictures have today released the first teaser trailer (below) for their upcoming fantasy film Lost River. Previously titled How to Catch a Monster, this potential-drenched motion picture is directed by Ryan Gosling and features Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Iain De Caestecker, The Other Guys' Eva Mendes and Doctor Who's Matt Smith amongst its slim-yet-undoubtedly accomplished central cast.
Gosling is evidently remaining elusive as to the precise details of his under-wraps narrative's structure and thematic content in this initial video preview, but we'd wager that this rare approach to cinematic storytelling will pay off provided that the writer, producer and director of the piece holds his nerve. Quite frankly, the presence of both De Caestecker and Smith will be more than enough to warrant a ticket purchase for this writer, yet time will tell whether the general viewing public is as accommodating to this bare-bones marketing campaign!
Lost River will be uncovered in cinemas worldwide this Autumn.
