Star Wars Journeys Announced

iOS users will be able to relive the sci-fi saga's greatest moments ahead of Episode VII's release.
Walt Disney Pictures, Lucasfilm and Disney Publishing have this week announced the development of Star Wars Journeys for release over the course of the remainder of this year and 2015. Kicking off with Star Wars Journeys: The Phantom Menace, this bold new series of iOS applications will retell the narratives of each of George Lucas' classic science-fiction movies as we slowly build towards the launch of J.J. Abrams' hugely anticipated franchise revival Episode VII.

What shouldn't come as any great surprise to fans of Disney or the words "It's a TRAP!" is that these semi-video game products will be aimed primarily at a younger demographic of players. Whilst we're all for the studio attracting kids to the saga and its now-revamped (thanks to the recently-announced destruction of the Expanded Universe) history, let's just hope that Abrams and co remember which members of their audience ensured the longevity of Lucas' works: the fans.
