Diaries at the ready, as the third-party publishers reveal when they'll take the video games industry by storm!
Electronic Arts have this weekend announced the date on which their annual Electronic Entertainment Expo press showcase will take place. Scheduled to open its doors to the public on June 10th, E3 2014 will play host to a plethora of esteemed video game developers and publishers including (but hardly limited to) Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Ubisoft and EA themselves.
It's safe to say that EA have something of a mixed track record at E3, with last year's showing from the third-party publishers only boasting Need For Speed: Rivals, Battlefield 4 and Titanfall as its highlights. Even so, with licensed titles based in the Star Wars universe on the horizon (including a DICE-developed third instalment in the critically acclaimed Battlefront franchise and a TBC Visceral project), and with Titanfall having proven to be a grand success for the studio (and Respawn Entertainment, of course), the omens for this year's press conference are promising to say the least. Here's hoping that the publishers whose classic tagline was always to "challenge everything" pull out all the stops to at least challenge (if not best) their competitors this Summer.
EA's E3 2014 showcase will take place on Monday June 9th and will be broadcast live on the web for the world to see.
