No dinos yet, folks, but plenty of homages to the original cult smash-hit.Universal Pictures have today released the first promotional images (via Entertainment Weekly) for their 2015 fantasy blockbuster Jurassic World. Part-continuation, part-reboot, the fourth instalment in the beloved Jurassic Park film franchise stars Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt, As You Like It's Bryce Dallas Howard and Life of Pi's Irfan Khan.
Of course, the real stars of the show will naturally be those creatures who warrant the use of the word 'Jurassic' once again in the film's title. Sadly, though, the still-animatronic dinosaurs who lie in wait on the now re-commercialized Isla Nublar will have to wait until another day, since the aforementioned pics we've gotten ahold of today seem to be intended primarily as homages to some of the series' classic elements such as Nublar's stunning rural vistas and the near-iconic jeeps patrolling the prehistoric theme park. Though precise details on World's narrative are nowhere to be found just yet, expect to hear plenty more on the project and its production developments in the weeks ahead!
