Ahead of its final theatrical trailer's début, Ellen Page introduces a new preview of the seventh X-Men film!20th Century Fox have today unveiled a new video clip (below) taken directly from their upcoming science-fiction superhero movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. Set ten years after the events of last year's The Wolverine, this time-travelling ensemble feature will chronicle a devastating war between the Free Mutants movement and the almost unstoppable Sentinel Mark X armada.
Of all of the promotional footage showcased at the MTV Movie Awards earlier today, this preview was undoubtedly the most original and enticing piece of content by far. Press journos are claiming that this clip is extracted from the early moments of the sequel, with Shawn Ashmore's Iceman, Ellen Page's Shadowcat and other fan favourite mutants commencing what appears to be their final confrontation with a team of heartless robotic mutant killers. If Days can keep up the dramatic pace and momentum established in this visceral action sequence throughout its (as of yet undetermined) running time, then we're in for a real treat when it lands on our shores.
X-Men: Days of Future Past warps into UK cinemas nationwide on May 22nd.
