The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Xbox One Version Delayed

The web-slinger's greatest battle will be coming to one less console than expected next month...
Activision and Beenox have today subtly revealed an alteration in the release schedule for the Xbox One version of their impending superhero video game The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Running in parallel with the events of the film of the same name, the game's narrative follows Peter Parker's spandex-clad alter-ego as he attempts to hunt down his uncle's killer, battling classic foes such as Kraven, the Kingpin, Electro and the Green Goblin along the way.

Unlike most delay announcements, the news of the Xbox One edition's slippage has come to us indirectly via Activision's removal of the console's logo from the list of release platforms on the title's official site. Of course, this could even mean that Microsoft's next-generation system is about to lose out on the product altogether, but if that's the case, then we may have far more to worry about regarding the movie tie-in than its omission of one platform from its console roster. Once we hear more on the situation either way, we'll update this article with all of the key details that you'll want to hear!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo 3DS and PC this May 2nd.
