Peter Parker hunts for his uncle's killer with the help of Kraven the Hunter later this month.
Beenox Games have today released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming video game adaptation of Sony Pictures' impending superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Running in parallel with the events of the second film, the sequel's narrative will feature classic comic-book adversaries including Electro and the Green Goblin.
We could have already predicted the inclusion of those characters, though, in light of their substantial roles in Spider-Man's latest big-screen outing. The main perk of this latest video preview (below), then, is discovering who the Webbed Wonder will battle exclusively in the tie-in title's storyline. Unless our eyes are deceiving us, the roster is apparently set to comprise of Kraven the Hunter, Kingpin, Black Cat (though don't count on her human alter-ego being Felicia Hardy here, since Felicity Jones is purportedly playing that character in the film itself) and (if you heed the speculation from IGN's staff, anyway) even the symbiotic creature known as Carnage. Even so, we advise that you proceed with caution, not only due to the traditionally mediocre quality of licensed tie-ins such as these, but also due to the fact that Beenox's first film-to-game adaptation (The Amazing Spider-Man) was hardly anything stellar. In this particular instance, it may well be worth waiting for reviews to break, with our verdict naturally being the definitive take you'll want to look out for...
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings onto Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo 3DS and PC this May 2nd.
