Marvel's Agents of SHIELD Episodes 20-22 Titles Announced

Just four episodes to go until the Agents face their biggest danger yet- the threat of the axe...
Marvel Studios and ABC have this week announced the titles of three upcoming episodes of their TV action drama Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. Picking up in the aftermath of last month's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the final run of episodes in Season One revolves around the titular secret agents discovering the seeds of corruption which have been planted at the very core of their organization for the past half-century and rooting them out before it's too late.

Without further ado, here's a round-up of the final three episode titles of Season One and their potential implications for the storylines that will emerge on the show in the weeks ahead:
  • EPISODE 20: NOTHING PERSONAL- This one will see the return of none other than (ex-) Agent Maria Hill, played once again by How I Met Your Mother's Cobie Smulders, now an employee at Stark Industries. Hill and Coulson will apparently team up to face a deadly Hydra squad in Season One's twentieth instalment, with the title "Nothing Personal" suggesting either that the pair have to take a blasé attitude about their latest mission or that a key aspect of the mission tugs at the heartstrings for one or both of them at some point.
  • EPISODE 21: RAGTAG- Given that S.H.I.E.L.D. has slowly but surely been descending into chaos and discord over the last few weeks, it's not difficult to anticipate that by the time we reach Episode 21 in a fortnight or so, Coulson's team will be virtually all that remains of the organization. Even then, fans who've been paying attention will know that not everyone in the aforementioned squad necessarily supports or follows their commander-in-chief's orders anymore, so come "Ragtag", we may just see the team itself begin to fall apart from the inside!
  • EPISODE 22: BEGINNING OF THE END- Welcome to the season finale! Since Episode 17 (the first part of Season One's final run, Uprising) was called "End of the Beginning", there's a neat mirror effect going on here, but more importantly, "Beginning of the End" suggests that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s troubles will be far from over when the credits roll on their first series of televised live-action adventures. Indeed, the show's execs have hinted that many of their ongoing storylines will not be wrapped up in a bow in the finale, meaning that a re-commission is crucial for the programme if we hope to see the aforementioned arcs play out in full. Stay tuned to On-Screen for all of the latest developments on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s future...
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continues this Tuesday, April 22nd with The Only Light In The Darkness on ABC and this Friday, April 25th with Turn, Turn, Turn on Channel 4.
