Game of Thrones Season Four Episodes 5-7 Plot Synopses Released

An Imp will face judgement, a Khaleesi will make plans and new alliances will be forged in the weeks ahead!
HBO Studios have today released plot synopses for three upcoming instalments in the fourth season of their hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones. Based loosely on the A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels by George R.R. Martin, the show has sparked controversy in abundance this week thanks to its inclusion of a not-so-ambiguous sequence involving non-consensual sexual intercourse between Jaime and Cersei Lannister.

We shouldn't need to remind you that there'll be light spoilers in each of the synopses, though nothing more or less so than any of the footage shown in previously-released or upcoming episode trailers. Here's our round-up of the plot précises for Episodes 5-7 of Season Four:

  • EPISODE 5: "FIRST OF HIS NAME"- "Cersei and Tywin plot the Crown's next move. Dany discusses future plans. Jon embarks on a new mission."
  • EPISODE 6: "THE LAWS OF GODS AND MEN"- "Stannis and Davos set sail with a new strategy. Dany meets with supplicants. Tyrion faces down his father in the throne room."
  • EPISODE 7: "MOCKINGBIRD"- "Tyrion enlists an unlikely ally. Daario entreats Dany to allow him to do what he does best. Jon's warnings about the Wall's vulnerability fall on deaf ears. Brienne follows a new lead on the road with Pod."
And that's your lot for now. Stay tuned to On-Screen over the next few days, as we'll be bringing you our definitive verdicts on Episodes 1-3, i.e. "Two Swords", "The Lion and the Rose" and "Breaker of Chains".

Game of Thrones continues next Monday, April 28th with "Oathkeeper" on Sky Atlantic at 9pm.
